Audio-CDs: Sony setzt auf Suncomm

Das Musikkonglomerat Sony BMG setzt in den USA auf die CD-Kopiersperre "Mediamax" von Suncomm (selbige, die sich unter Windows mit einem Druck auf die Umschalttaste umgehen lässt). Wie die meisten "kopiergeschützten" CDs besteht auch diese aus mehreren Sessions, wobei die Daten-Session DRM-geschützte WMA-Versionen der CD-Tracks enthält.

Nun kann der Ipod bekanntlich keine WMA-Dateien wiedergeben. Ipod-Besitzer können auf den Support-Seiten von Sony BMG ein Formular ausfüllen und erhalten dann per E-Mail eine Anleitung, wie sie ihre CDs in AAC-Dateien wandeln können. Im Gegenzug mögen sie sich doch bitte bei Apple beklagen, dass der Ipod kein WMA-DRM unterstützt...

Man beachte die delikate Formulierung "we ask" (wir fordern Sie dazu auf) statt "we suggest", "you might consider" oder ähnliche schwächere Formen.
