Abstract
Openbravo, based in Navarra, Spain, sells web-based Open Source ERP software for SMEs. The company was founded in 2001 by Nicolas Serrano, Ismael Ciordia and Moncho Aguinaga, first under the name Tecnicia. In 2006 Openbravo received public funding of 5 million EUR, to be used to foster international growth. CEO is Manel Sarasa.
Most Openbravo users are from distribution, service, manufacturing, engineering and media industries. Circa 50 installations are productive, and the software is downloaded ca. 1000 times per day.
The submitted business plan describes the growth plans of Openbravo and specifies the funding needs until 2015.

Biographie: Manel Sarasa
Manel is leading Openbravo to extend the adoption of ERP to all small and midsize enterprises through an innovative open source business model. To this end Manel is responsible for overall strategy, management, international expansion.
Manel came to Openbravo after seven years with Diamond Cluster International, where he, as a Senior Principal, led the launch of eight businesses in various countries and consulted leading telecom players in the areas of overall strategy, marketing & sales, customer service and overall turnaround programs.
Prior to Diamond Cluster, Manel worked at Andersen Consulting (now known as Accenture).
Manel has a BS in Engineering and Industrial Organization from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and did his postgraduate studies at London School of Economics.
