Abstract
The french conglomerate Lagardère is active in media (Paris Match, Elle, Virgin Megastore, Sportfive etc.) and high tech (EADS). The CTO of the Lagardère Active arm describes why and how the content of multiple Lagardère websites worldwide is being managed with an Open Source System (by EZ Systems).
Biographie: Jean Gondé
"Jean Gondé joined Lagardère Group on January 2007 as Lagardère Active Chief Technology Officer for France and International; Lagardère Active is the Lagardère group division dedicated to all Media activities (TV, Radio, Press and Digital). He had previously accumulated considerable expertise as a consultant in organization and integration of information systems around Enterprise Resource Planning, customer relationship and business intelligence for US companies, and later as head of Bull Consulting, a subsidiary of the Bull group and then, spent several years in the Telecom and Internet industries within the Vivendi Universal Group, lately as Deputy General Manager at 118 218, the US owned multimedia directory services company which he set up and is No. 1 today in France.
