”Innovators under 35” is a global competition for the best talents in the technology sector, initiated by MIT Technology Review more than ten years ago. The previous winners, among other, include Sergey Brin (Google), Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook) and Daniel Ek (Spotify). In Germany, the annual competition is organized by the monthly German Technology Review magazine. The winners are awarded during a special event. Sponsors can accompany the competition on a national or international level and become part of the network.

The magazine's Young Talent Award is considered one of the most important awards for young innovators. It was founded 18 years ago by the US magazine MIT Technology Review. The winners of the German edition are automatically nominated for the international list of the 35 best innovators under 35, which are selected annually by the US-American MIT Technology Review.
