Eight people die with coronavirus at Royal Glamorgan Hospital as 'super-spreading event' blamed
A super-spreading event has been blamed for the deaths of eight patients with coronavirus at Royal Glamorgan Hospital in the current outbreak at the Llantrisant Hospital.
Paul Mears, the new chief executive of Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board, told members of the board of the deaths at a meeting on Wednesday, September 30. He said six more people are currently in intensive care.
The recent outbreak has seen 82 people infected at the Llantrisant hospital and has led to the health board has deciding to cut services and put measures in place to contain the spread of the virus.
On Wednesday, September 30, planned surgeries have been temporarily suspended and patients who would usually be taken to A&E at the hospital in an emergency will also be sent elsewhere as part of the plan from 2pm.
A&E will remain open but those needing a bed will need to go elsewhere but paediatric services will remain as they are."
Da werden dann all die dringenden Operationen agbesagt die ja angeblich nicht stattfinden weil Coronapanik herrscht.
